The Game

Cluck in the Dawn follows a chicken looking for delicious, golden corn!

 

Armed with the mystical ability to change the seasons, you must alter the environment and solve puzzles to obtain your delicious prize.

 

Along the way, immerse yourself in different environments and meet a variety of birdy friends who possess unique traits. With their aid, solve even more puzzles as you collect ever more corn!

Responsibilities

Game Designer

- Designed movement mechanics for 3 unique characters.

     - Includes a character swap mechanic, allowing players to adapt to                     environmental challenges.

​

- Designed Season mechanic and its effects on the environment.

​

- Designed level mechanics that interact with the Season mechanic.

     - e.g. In Spring, water levels rise, causing certain objects to float, creating         platforms.

​

- Blocked out levels in Excel based on movement mechanics and metrics of      characters.

​

Artist

- Researched and created art assets in chosen style (Photoshop/Illustrator).

     - Created 2D characters in distinct style.

     - Created props and environment (tiled).

- Created Game UI for Nintendo Switch
