The Game

BobblePop is a 2D-platformer that combines traditional platforming with the main mechanic of an old favorite, Puzzle Bobble. 

 

Play as a slime who uses coloured orbs to solve puzzles, complete stages and pop bobbles. Escape the lab where you were created and experience the world.

Game Designer

- Focused on mechanics design and level design.

     - Adapted Puzzle Bobble's bursting mechanics for a platformer.

     - Used the mechanic as a base to design various puzzles.

​

- Balanced main character's traversal metrics.

​

- Created levels that are progressively more complex.

     - Combining simpler puzzles as well as tightening the need for precision.

Producer

- Wrote and maintained Game Design Document.

​

- Maintained weekly schedule for the team.

​

- Scheduled weekly meetings for weekly reports.

 

- Collated and prepared presentation materials.

- Drew wire-frame and concepts for game UI and menu.

- Created and designed tutorial panels for in-game use.

     - Inspired by holographic panels, which fits the game theme.
